IMPORTANT Information for Participants

Kick-off for RoboCup 2010 is only a week away! We hope that your team’s preparations for the competitions are going well. While looking at delivering a unique RoboCup 2010 experience, we would also like to draw your attention to the following guidelines pertaining to logistics and other issues. The following information will make your stay in Singapore more pleasurable.

Transportation

The public transportation system in Singapore is exteamly convenient. You can either hop on to buses or trains (MRT) and locate your destinations easily.

The competition venue (Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Center) is accessible by both MRT and bus. The nearest MRT station is Esplanade station. Alternatively, you can also alight at City Hall interchange station. A 10 minutes’ walk via the underground City Link Mall will lead you directly to the competition venue.

Bus services to Suntec are: 36, 97, 106, 111, 133, 501, 502, 518, 857, and 700. You may alight right in front of the Convention Centre.

Changi international airport is also easily accessible by public transportation. The MRT station is located at the basement of Terminals 2 and 3. The bus service 36 has stops at Terminals 1, 2, and 3. For more information on Changi airport please refer to http://www.changiairport.com

For your own convenience, we recommend you purchase an EZ-link card which can be used both for bus and MRT. It can be purchased at any MRT station.

Competition Venue

The competition will be held at Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Center. Please visit http://www.robocup2010.org/location_Venue.php and take a virtual 3D tour of the venue!

Registration Desk

The registration counters are located at level 1 of Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Center. Please go to counters 10 to 18.

• Major Teams: 19-20 June 2010 / 08:00-18:00
• Junior Teams: 20 June 2010 / 08:00-18:00

Please note that you must meet all the following requirements to be eligible for registration:

• All registration fees must have been paid.
• The team, mentors, and members must have been registered.
• All members must have read and signed the liability and image release form which can be downloaded from http://www.robocup2010.org/Notice_on_risks_and_damages.pdf.

In the case of participants under the age 18 a signature of a parent or guardian is required.
