There are cash prizes - and recognition - awaiting students as Singapore prepares to host the "Olympics" of robotics events come June 2010
The organisers of RoboCup 2010 are looking for the logo and mascot that best personify the international event. All full-time students in Singapore are invited to take part in the competition for a chance to put their stamp on the event, being held in the country for the first time.
In addition to cash prizes worth a total of $1,800, the winning mascot design may be transformed into a real working robot. The winning logo design will adorn posters, t-shirts, and other promotional and publicity materials.
The competition is now open to all students pursuing their full-time studies in Singapore. Entries should reach the organisers by 8 April 2009.
